Set during the Nome gold rush in Alaska, the story follows brave teenage miner Roy Glenister and his partner Dextry as they journey to protect their precious gold chest, "Midas." Along the way, they encounter Helen Chester, the niece of a newly appointed Chief Government Justice, who becomes a romantic interest for Glenister. As they arrive in Nome, they confront corruption led by powerful lawmaker Alexander McNamara, who manipulates the legal system to seize valuable mining claims, prompting the miners to fight back against the flawed law.
