As they navigate their mission, their initial animosity gives way to a deeper connection, rooted in shared experiences of oppression. Yet, trust is precarious, and as Évike reconnects with her estranged father and uncovers her hidden magic, both must confront their loyalties and the sacrifices they are willing to make for a nation that has never embraced them.
