Peter Bowers, the author, met Amanda Taylor, the illustrator, whilst working on an amateur dramatic production. Their friendship sprang up and Amanda became a partner in the children's book that Peter was planning to write.The Husky and The Walrus set in the pure unblemished Arctic is a story about friendship, care of the environment and what happens when we have over fished our waters, discarded waste and the consequence for us all. I hope that it will inspire the children who read it to support and fight for our planet but most importantly to enjoy a jolly good story.
