You might think, what possible relevance can the runes, a system in use in the Dark Ages, have for the modern pagan as he sits trawling his smartphone for information online to help him with day-to-day situations? Surely the use of those funny little stick shapes died out with the Vikings? But I can tell you that the runes reach out from the past to the present and future like Bifrost, the mythical bridge to Asgard, and are just as relevant today as they were fifteen centuries ago to those on a spiritual path.
