The Mysterious Island

Set during the American Civil War, the story follows five Northern prisoners who escape by commandeering a hydrogen balloon. After enduring a fierce storm, they crash on an uncharted volcanic island, which they name Lincoln Island in tribute to Abraham Lincoln. Led by engineer Cyrus Smith, the group utilizes their skills to thrive in their new environment, creating various inventions and establishing a home called Granite House. Their journey explores themes of survival, ingenuity, and camaraderie amidst adversity.
