Coco Bear, named for corona and covid, was born during the Global Pandemic of 2020. When it is Coco Bear's birthday, the family gathers, as is their tradition, to view photos of the day Coco was born. Coco Bear is surprised by parents in masks, no visitors, no balloons, no gifts, none of the celebratory actions seen in sibling Scout's birthday photos. The precautions for the virus are explained and a crown (Spanish for corona) is worn instead of the traditional birthday hat. The family celebrates the positive side of the experience. This serves as a keepsake for all who experienced the virus, especially those families to whom babies were born.
