Aunt Dete brings Heidi, an orphan, up the mountain to live with Grandfather. Heidi enjoys helping Peter the goatherd and visiting Peter's grandmother, and she loves life with Grandfather. Then Aunt Dete comes for her again to take her away to Frankfurt.
