Reflexology, or "zone therapy," is an alternative medicine that applies pressure to the feet and hands using specific techniques. It is based on the idea that these areas reflect the body and can induce physical changes. The practice has historical roots in China and Egypt, and was popularized in the U.S. by William H. Fitzgerald and further developed by Eunice D. Ingham.
