Beetle Bunker

Set in East Berlin during the tense summer of 1961, the story follows Sabine, who shares a cramped apartment with her family amidst a climate of surveillance and fear. Discovering a hidden underground bunker, she initially seeks refuge from her stifling home life. However, when the Berlin Wall is erected, the bunker becomes a potential escape route to freedom. As Sabine contemplates risking everything for her family's safety, the narrative explores themes of courage, the quest for freedom, and the harsh realities of life under oppressive regimes.
