The Earl's Captive

Set in September 1821, the story follows Lucy, who rebels against her father's choice of a grim vicar for her husband. In a bold move, she steals the vicar's prized stallion and flees across the moors. Her adventure takes a dangerous turn when she encounters notorious horse thieves, particularly their charismatic yet deceitful leader, complicating her escape and igniting unexpected emotions.
