More about the book
The study investigates the chemical composition and larvicidal properties of microencapsulated essential oil from Citrus aurantium against Aedes aegypti. Extracted through hydrodistillation and characterized by GC-MS, the oil demonstrated significant larvicidal activity with an LC50 of 3.589 mg L-1. The main components identified were (-)-terpinen-4-ol and caryophyllene oxide. The findings highlight the essential oil's potential as an effective agent for controlling Aedes aegypti, contributing to pest management strategies.
