The story follows Lyndon Song, a celebrated sculptor who retreats to a quiet life as a Brussels sprouts farmer in Rosarita Bay, California. His plans for solitude are disrupted by his brother Woody, a disgraced financier turned filmmaker, who proposes a controversial golf-course resort on Lyndon's property. Complicating matters is an aging kung-fu actress from Hong Kong, known for both her fierce fighting skills and her heavy drinking, adding tension and humor to the sibling dynamic.
