Answering the Call

Set against the backdrop of post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans, Detective Sept Savoie faces a challenging return to work after recovering from a gunshot wound. Her first case—a ritualistic murder—quickly spirals into a series of killings. Complicating her investigation is Nicole Voles, a celebrity crime writer whose interest in the case and in Sept's partner, Keegan, adds tension. As Sept races against time to catch the killer, she must also navigate the potential threat Nicole poses to her personal life and professional focus.
