More about the book
The study investigates bat species in Caguanes National Park's mangrove areas, focusing on their ecological role. Conducted during the rainy seasons of 2016 and 2017, researchers captured 594 bats across 19 species using mist nets. The findings highlight the dominance of Artibeus jamaicensis, Brachyphylla nana, and Nyctiellus lápidas, which together accounted for over 80% of the captures, providing valuable insights into the chiropteran fauna in these unique forest ecosystems.
