Germans of Waterloo Region

Focusing on the personal narratives of German-speaking immigrants in Canada, this Oral History Project presents biographic interviews with individuals from the German-Canadian community in Waterloo Region. The book compiles their recollections of immigration and settlement, contextualized within historical frameworks. It explores diverse themes related to migration, including pre-immigration life, the immigration journey, post-arrival experiences, work, language issues, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
