Invisible Bridge

Set in 1959-60, the narrative follows Francis Deng, a Southern law student and son of a prominent Dinka chief, as he navigates university life in Northern Sudan. Despite being shorter than his peers, Deng's dignified presence and fluency in English and Arabic position him as a natural leader among his classmates. His journey includes a significant expedition to Germany and a pivotal encouragement from his friends to document Dinka customs, sparking his enduring passion for exploring and writing about his culture.
