The Burn

Set against a backdrop of genetic research and drug addiction, the story follows Alex Morales, a young geneticist investigating a troubling phenomenon among indigenous coca-leaf chewers in Peru. This "Burn" sensation resurfaces in Miami's cocaine users, resulting in tragic deaths, including that of a sex worker. As Alex collaborates with Faymi Alonso to study the issue, he uncovers a potential viral infection. However, his investigation takes a dark turn when he is framed and arrested, complicating his quest for answers.
