The study explores the impact of incarceration on the maternal bonds between women in prison and their children. Conducted in Granada, it features in-depth interviews with six mothers residing at the Matilde Cantos Fernández social insertion center, some of whom have transitioned from other penitentiary facilities. The research aims to understand the unique challenges these women face regarding motherhood while incarcerated, shedding light on the emotional and relational dynamics that arise from their separation from their children.
