Set in 1982, the story follows Terence Devine, a Vice cop entangled in corruption and scandal as he dreams of relocating to Florida. After being recorded accepting bribes, he is compelled to assist in an investigation against his own unit. His situation worsens when he becomes a suspect in the murder of a sex worker tied to influential figures. As he desperately tries to navigate the fallout, Devine ultimately faces the devastating consequences of his actions, receiving a life sentence for the crime.
