Struggling for acceptance, first-generation Filipino siblings JJ and Althea face challenges at school and home. JJ seeks to blend in, while Althea embraces her identity, but their cultural differences, such as unusual lunches and a hard-to-pronounce last name, complicate their lives. Their responsibilities at the family food truck and their parents' constant comparisons to folklore characters add to their frustrations.
