Singapore Passage

Set against the backdrop of a thrilling race from Singapore to Canton, the narrative follows two barques, "The Forest of Arden" and "The Firefly," both laden with valuable opium. Onboard the Arden, Anne Mackenzie, daughter of Sir Gordon Mackenzie, travels alongside Shen Ti, a girl who was kidnapped from an opium den, only revealed as such after departure. The story intertwines their fates with the high-stakes competition between the ships, highlighting themes of adventure, survival, and the complexities of human relationships.
