Pivot Move

The story follows 14-year-old Boyd Kindle as he navigates the challenges of adolescence, particularly after losing his hair to alopecia and his father leaving. His passion for basketball offers a temporary escape, but he faces mixed reactions from his teammates. Boyd's fascination with Nietzsche deepens through his friendship with Sophie, a foreign exchange student with her own struggles. As he grapples with feelings of alienation and disappointment, Boyd must confront his misguided efforts to fit in and discover a path to self-acceptance and freedom.
