Their initial success against the Picts leads to land rewards, but tensions rise as the rightful king, Aurelius, emerges with ambitions to reclaim the land. As Vortigern's call for more mercenaries stirs resentment among the Britons, Hengest and Horsa find themselves entangled in a brewing rebellion, highlighting themes of loyalty, conflict, and cultural clash.
