More about the book
The book explores the influence of Ivorian languages on the use of nominal determination in French as spoken in Ivory Coast. Through a contrastive analysis of determinant syntagms in French and four major Ivorian languages, the author identifies six distinct syntactic structures that characterize Ivory Coast French. This research is supported by a newspaper corpus and leads to didactic proposals aimed at enhancing French language education while advocating for the integration of Ivorian languages in the school system as instructional mediums.
