More about the book
Ebers, a prominent German Egyptologist and novelist, is renowned for his discovery of the Ebers Papyrus, one of the earliest medical texts. His academic journey included studies in jurisprudence and Oriental languages, leading to professorships in Egyptian language and antiquities at Jena and Leipzig. Ebers's significant contributions to Egyptology began with his work "Ägypten und die Bücher Moses," published in the late 1860s. His expertise was further solidified through two scientific expeditions to Egypt, culminating in the editing of the celebrated medical papyrus in 1874.
