Set in 1973, the narrative follows Brian, an IRA sniper seeking to escape his violent past after completing one last assignment. Discarding his rifle, hidden in a golf bag, into the sea, he hopes for a peaceful life in Suffolk. Meanwhile, DCI Cartwright is on his trail. The plot thickens when a local fisherman discovers the golf bag, leading Brian into a web of kidnap and murder. Just as he appears to find solace, the story questions whether true justice can ever be achieved.
