The Healing Summer

Set in the summer of 1981, a ninety-four-year-old Maggie Howard embarks on a journey back to San Francisco to uncover the fate of Orlando Gallo, the man who saved her during the 1906 earthquake. Having not seen him for over seventy years, she hopes to connect with his descendants before passing on her estate. Accompanied by her neighbor Jo Sampson, the trip fosters a deep friendship and mutual healing, intertwining their lives across generations as they seek closure and connection with the past.
