The narrative follows Gwen Conliffe as she returns to Llanwelly, Wales, two years after Larry Talbot's supposed death. Believing he has been resurrected as a werewolf, she seeks the help of the gypsy woman Maleva. Their journey, accompanied by Gwen's former love and a group of Irish Travellers, takes them across Ireland in search of Talbot. The story unfolds through alternating third-person and first-person perspectives, focusing on their quest to bring peace to Talbot's troubled existence.
