I want to share the story of me, my parents, and my grandparents so people will know what happened to the people of China and Taiwan in my generation, my parents' generation, and my grandparents' generation during the last 100 years of modern Chinese history. Sometimes, I wonder what if there had been no war. What would my parents' lives be like? War is a cruel matter that I hope we do not have to experience. I am grateful to have grown up in Taiwan, and see it as being a paradise for me. As you can see, I have a lot of good memories. I hope Taiwan will survive the aggression of China and continue to be a land of the free.
