Material for this work originated in lectures the author gave about The Transfiguration of Jesus at the 1989 Annual Conference of the Evangelical Movement of Wales. The scope of the work was enlarged based on an idea from Thomas Manton's sermons on the transfiguration that transfiguration is related to Christian transformation.--cf. page vii
