More about the book

Trespass collects the work of Bethany Schroeder, whose poems have appeared in Poetry, Prairie Schooner, and a number of other publications. The volume is introduced by National Jewish Book Award winner Joy Ladin. With longing and precision, Schroeder examines the intricate relationships of family, landscape, and the English language itself, revealing what Ladin calls "a form of intelligence in which thinking is fused to imagination." Born in 1952, Schroeder worked as an intensive care nurse, medical educator, and Cornell MFA poet until her death in 2012. This is her first book.
