Princess Nazari Liraya Perez (nickname Nali) was born in a small town in Port au prince, Haiti, called Kenscoff, to a Dominican father and Haitian mother. During an Earthquake, she lost both parents and also her right leg (just 3 inches below the knee) all by the age of 5. She was adopted by a family from the states. Barry Whitfield, a Caucasian doctor and Isabelle Sousa, an Argentinian dancer. Upon watching her stepmom, Nazari became enthralled and wanted to become a ballerina. Through her journey, she struggles with her missing leg and getting used to a prosthetic one. She also struggles with the issues dealing with her afro Latina roots and acceptance. She grows up to be a renowned ballet dancer and marries Prince Amir Kalb of the Kingdom of Madinah in Central Arabia.
