The fables surely grew from a desire to teach his children how to better understand and succeed in the world. About Michael R. Corman Michael Corman grew up in Detroit and Oak Park, Michigan. He went from being a "four-point student" to an Administrative Law Judge and has always fancied himself a poet and arbiter of words. He loves a good debate and remained a competitive football and basketball player until he found most of the competition was 20 years younger than he was. He now lives with his wife, Carol, in West Bloomfield, Michigan.
