The objective of this book is to develop a theoretical and integrative model between human resource management and corporate entrepreneurship, drawing on human resource management practices for opportunity-enhancing according to the AMO model (Ability-motivation-opportunity), and the basic dimensions of corporate entrepreneurship: Innovativeness, proactiveness and risk-taking. The model, resulting from a literature review, demonstrates that this type of entrepreneurship thrives on opportunity enhancing human resource practices. As a result, a theoretical framework for the development of corporate entrepreneurship is established from a strategic human resource management perspective, based on human resource practices such as flexible job design, work teams, employee involvement and knowledge sharing. The main contribution of this book is that it explains how corporate entrepreneurship can be enhanced from a human resource management perspective, but particularly from a model of human resource practices that has been theoretically and empirically validated, such as the AMO model.
