The Book of the Thousand Nights and a Night, commonly known as the Arabian Nights, is a collection of Middle Eastern and South Asian stories and folk tales compiled in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age. Burton's translation, considered a classic of English literature, includes some of the most iconic tales from the collection, such as Aladdin's Wonderful Lamp and Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.
