Paul's ministry could be condensed into two words - local churches. He was either starting them by filling them with new converts, visiting them, praying for them, or writing Epistles to them. If there were no local churches, much of Paul's letters would never have been written. The local church is Jesus' greatest provision for the growth of His saints. It is the greatest decision the saint will make, for it is via the local church that you will be influenced into practicing (or ignoring) the written word. It is a sobering thought that every time the churches were rebuked by the apostles, in the bible, the whole assembly was rebuked together. Thus, your local church says more about you than you are willing to admit. Find your thrill in God's gift of the local church.
