More about the book

I have led my life in a constant state of poetry, capturing my experiences since I was eight. Born in Shamokin, PA, on July 6, 1925, I have much to share, focusing on events significant to me, such as the miracle of having twins in 1946 and the overwhelming emotions that followed with the birth of a son just sixteen months later, which led me to contemplate suicide. Eighteen years later, as I neared a sense of freedom, I found myself pregnant again, and those dark thoughts resurfaced. Life surprised me when my firstborn twin also became pregnant, prompting thoughts of murder—though we persevered and welcomed our new children within six months of each other, making my daughter an aunt and me my own grandma. The poems reflect the times and their significance. I've experienced two marriages and have been happily involved with a wonderful man for the past ten years. If you take away one message from my collection, let it be to enjoy life; it’s never too late to start anew. For added enjoyment, I’ve included some of my artwork. ENJOY!
