The researches for the discovery of new drugs from vegetable extracts are more and more directed, either to be applied in the pharmaceutical or cosmeceutic industry. Through the advances in science and technology it is concluded that there are methods capable to evaluate the antibacterial and antifungal activity of the vegetal extracts, thus contributing for the advances of new researches and development of natural products with active substances. The objective of this research was to evaluate the antibacterial action of Arrabidaea Chica on colonies of the microorganism Staphylococcus sp.
