Unhappily married Alan has a one-night stand with a woman he meets in a seedy bar. When he returns home, he finds that his wife has been murdered and that he is the primary suspect... Eleven months had passed since he last sat down on the court bench, testifying before a jury. Nobody believed him. The evidence was so compelling there was really no way of changing people's minds.
